I'm so glad you're here! I'm Jaycee Nosreip, a teenage writer saved by Christβs blood and continually being sanctified through the working of the Holy Spirit and the reading of the Word of God. I have a strong passion for writing and for encouraging the past, present, and future generations and for glorifying the Lord in all that I write. I live with my wonderful family in the beautiful Carolinas where I enjoy spending time reading, writing, or hanging out with friends and family.
Like Lilies first began in the spring of 2025 with two girls rather than one and was being made into a blog for two friends to share encouragement with other teenage girls. Plans were formed, ideas were brought to the table, and trials struck. The sticky mire in which the two girls soon found themselves in was not one to long be forgotten or moved past so easily.
Dynamics changed due to many reasons and the two founders of Like Lilies parted ways. For a time, I wasn't sure if I could run a blog all on my own, and then two of my good friends reminded me that I wasn't alone. The Lord was still with me, and He wasn't going to leave.
I dove headfirst into the remaking of the blog, redesigning the website I had already made but not yet published, and began to form some articles to posts. After a little bit, I learned the hard way what burn out feels like and experienced another low in my walk with the Lord as I struggled under the weight of moving for the eighteenth time, hurting and walking away from a brother in Christ who had begun to mean more to me than was healthy, and all the while pushing God away.
Like Lilies fell silent for the last few months of 2025 and during those months the Lord drew me closer to Him and showed me that I have no need to worry about tomorrow, for just as He cares for the lilies of the valley, so He cares for me even more. I was reminded once again of the verse that had taken on such a special meaning for me during the year of 2025 and was comforted by the fact that the Lord has promised to care for us like the lilies.
My utmost desire is to glorify the Lord in all I write, and my hope for this blog is that it will challenge and encourage all who read it, but more specifically the young ladies out there, who like me, desire to follow the Lord in all things.
Navigating this world can be hard and, wellβ¦ crazy. But sometimes having a friend, who wonβt push you to be cool or trendy, but rather encourage you in godliness and Biblical-feminity, can be such a wonderful blessing. So, join me as I also try to figure out how to live set-apart from the world and not follow after the currents, striving to always have my eyes pointed towards Christ!
